Requiem for a Dream...

I thought I would borrow it out today.... Really good, but really heavy, especially the end 20 or so minutes.

You can't help but cry....

The soundtrack is beautiful. I really want to go, and buy the cd.

very true :D

Wasn't the end depressing though?? You couldn't end it any other way though, otherwise it would be too "hollywood" based....

It was based on a book, so I think they just followed it. :) The end *was* depressing, but it was coming for them all. Only the chick came out half okay.

Not really... She is fucked than all of them, she is now addicted to drugs, she has ruined her own life-her career, her boyfriend... She hugs the drugs at the end as it is now her "love", and she would do anything to get it.... At least the others, in a way, now see what they did was a mistake.

I didn't know that it was based on a book, I really want to read it now XP....

You're right, she is worse off long term than the rest of them. It's tragic...the whole thing. After watching it you never want to take drugs again, it's better than any ad campaign the goverment puts out I must say.

:) Yeah, it would be interesting to read the book.
