On April 21st, I was supposed to fly out to see my oh so lovely girlfriend.
How one thing can put a kink in it all...
I had an audition this past week for the lead in a "modified low budget" independent film. The Director and the DP (Director of Photography) both laughed and exclaimed over my choices in the reading. They went so far as to call me perfect. It shoots on April 21nd - 25th.
It cuts into my visit with Afton.
I really wanna be with her. I was supposed to buy my plane ticket today.
But, this is my career. Do you know how long it's been? Sheesh. Don't get me started.
I've always heard, if you wanna book something: plan a huge trip before you go on the audition - you'll end up getting the job and have to cancel your trip. It's happened to me several times as well as with several other people I know.
She's upset I can't come out. I don't blame her. I'd be a little miffed, too. But she's been pretty understanding to the circumstances.
Cassie, Cory and I have finished the outline of our film. It's now up to me to give the outline a treatment: a scene by scene description with important transitions giving examples of character dialogue. We need to make a budget for the film and we have no idea how to do that. We are tapping our resources to get this ironed out before we have to make our pitch to these guys at this production company.
