wow, i'm glad i didn't cancel on K&L like i was thinking of doing. this week wore me out so badly, i seriously thought about it, but i had SUCH a good time tonight. >:) and hey, i finally learned how to play canasta! i am canasta-enabled. in addition to just having a good time hanging out and chatting and playing cards & such, i was also fed yummy sushi (ohgod toro yes please), got to wish sparklypoof a happy birthday (and briefly meet her hamster, Whatsit), and got a neck & shoulder rub that i desperately needed. ooohhh, yeah. all in all, a lovely, low-key afternoon & evening. oh, and got to see tiana67 for a few brief moments, as well as seeing mac for the first time in YEARS, and meeting his wife. aahhh. and now i'm about ready to crawl into bed and crash before my next social outing tomorrow.
ooh, and i scored a copy of the DCD performance at strathmore hall (thanks, utforsker, since i b'lieve it was your music we were listening to). can only listen to it with iTunes, but fuck, i don't care. god DAMN what a performance; i wish i'd been able to afford to go.
okay, time for a before-bed snack, as i don't think the sushi'll be quite enough to last me through the night at this point. oh, and of course i must love on the Poor Neglected Kitty.
