Last week was busy to say the least, I've still got to update my Darren Criss post, so I won't say much about that here. I will however discuss the latter half of the week. As we all know, HP7.2 had it's premiere on Thursday, I eventually talked myself into not taking the time off work to go stalk the stars. However I did succumb and wandered over to look after work... I hate all of you who had the time to go, it was so wonderful and glorious, I wish I'd camped, if only to stare at Alan Rickman in person (he is made of awesome!).
However, I didn't and went home to get a good nights sleep, as the following evening I was off to see a taping of Rob Brydon, the season finale as it would happen (I did not know this, or at least had forgotten it by the time I went). Dame Edna and Will Young were the guests, which initially I was not that excited about, Dame Edna is a little... before my time. But he was fantastic, my cheeks hurt from the laughter and smiling. They also had a young comedian, Phil Wang, I think, my memory is not that great for names, who was also very good.
Saturday however was physio, which was both painful and incredibly relaxing, and I may only need one more session to get everything back to normal. I also sent my mum off for her spa treatment that day, which she enjoyed thoroughly. And I stupidly wandered into Oxford, which is insane, it's all the summer/foreign students, Starbucks was mobbed, although I did get served fairly quickly, they rolled out the workers to make all the drinks, and sent out security to kick out people who didn't have drinks.
Sunday thankfully was quite and I got to enjoy one long arse lie in. The week ahead is shaping up to be much quieter, including a visit to Cambridge. I get to go see a lab that turned me down for a job, a chance to see what could have been, whilst talking shop with the scientists over there.
Okay, back to work now.
