Oh, I like this. I like the idea that he wasn't that interested in Lydia, but that Rachel is fascinating. :)

This is really fun! The second person voice worked for me too, which surprised me. I too like that Rachel is fascinating while Lydia was dull (and thank you for the Lydia & Bob line just after that, cuz I could not figure out who Lydia was...).

Thank you! I don't usually use second person, pretty much never, actually, but I kind of just started writing it that way and figured I'd see it through. I'm glad that it worked for you! :-)
