Another sooper quick sticky note doodle. imasupermuteant , captain of the glorious team Crackship and I got to pondering McCoy/McCoy slash and decided it was awesome. She wrote a wonderful ficlet that I will link when the friends only lock is taken off the post.
Huh.. I guess I did write a wee ficlet, after all. *digs around comm for the text*
McCoy/McCoy
Late one night among the Petrie dishes- working desperately to cure Jim of the deadly legacy virus - McCoy looks over and notices the way the fluorescent glow of the incubation oven highlights the soft scruff along the edge of McCoy's strong jaw. It's been days now since they last slept. The edge of fear and uncertainty has been wreaking havock with his equilibrium, so he dismisses the surge of admiration and lust and gets back to work.
Finally, after a streak of dismal failures, they crack the virus. Jim will live!
Overcome by their success, he doesn't stop to think. He stalks over to where McCoy has sagged in relief against the sturdy stainless steel counter and hauls him into a triumphant kiss by the lapels of his lab coat.

(the best part is, if Bones hasn't shaved in a couple of days this scenario works from both POVs XD)

Yowza, that actually looks like I did quite a bit this week. I feel so much less failtastic for only having about a third of the next chapter of Nixaan Theta done now! I <3 Ship Wars. Yes, I do :D
