SAM72
Millennium seems like its not going to happen again. Despite the fact that they're losing people and saying that they're open to taking anyone who is dedicated, Shannon and I aren't getting accepted. No clue why, but nearest we can figure is that its related to our friend that we moved to Caitsith for in the first place.
Its kind of sad, because in recent days/weeks, we've been doing stuff with multiple people from MLN, and they've all seemed to think we're pretty cool. But alas, if its just not meant to be... so be it.
SO on Saturday night, Shannon and I both got 71, and I grabbed my Tachi of Trials. She got on PLD/NIN and I went on SAM (obviously). With her using Joyeuse and Justice Sword, we were dropping my points in record time. I think it took us about an hour and a half from start to finish. We were tired so we went to bed.
Got back on and Krissy got a couple of her bored friends from MLN and we smashed my beetle, netting me Tachi: Kasha. Shannon and I broke her trial sword a few weeks ago, so I suggested we do Savage Blade first, but Einherjar was coming up for them, so we did my beetle first. The plan was for them to come back afterwards and we'd kill her scorpion quickly and go do an ENM. While they were in, we got a random tell and ended up doing it earlier than planned.
Then we geared up for the ENM. Plan was to knock off Sheep in Antlion's Clothing, the Hagun/Forager's Mantle ENM. Initially we were just going to trio, splitting profits, unless we got a double drop, in which case I'd take one and they'd split the other. I'd had my key item for the ENM since way back in the day, when I did CoP3-3 (basically September '06, possibly sooner). I started climbing the mountain with them anyway, but fell halfway and just headed off on my way. A bit of a trek later, we were all ready to go in. First time doing it, and it was a breeze, and pretty fun too. The best part? Hagun dropped. And because we had her friends this time, there was to be no profit splitting, and they let me take it outright. My goal of leveling in to a Hagun was complete :D
We EXPed after that, but didn't quite make it to 72.
Unfortunately today, I had to leave work early because of my back and my kidney. I have stones forming again, and it hurts like hell... so I went to the hospital. I was there until around 8, but we got online anyway. Not too long after, we were in the party that was going to get me in to my Hagun. It was nice, having something that good to level in to. It was a neat feeling having something like that, and knowing that I didn't have to spend 2.5M to get it. Not that I'd even consider selling it anyway.
The party lasted long enough to put me about 10-11k tnl, which is cool, cause at 73 I get my relic hands for Meditate and Shura legs for, well, beating shit up. I also want to upgrade my AF hands, as I have a set for them, but not the coins. Hopefully I can afford it, as I'd like to sell my Pallas's.
Thats about it really. Hopefully I can finish this up soon, because as much as I really really like Samurai, I'm getting tired of EXPing it. I want to merit it some and start working on other things, I'm heavily leaning towards Scholar.
