Change of scenery
So after all of that bullshit Galleon drama, I decided to start laying low, minding my own business. Did that Salvage thing which I was actually enjoying... but something sucked anyway.
Roll back to last Friday (not the one just past, the one before). I'd just reactivated my account cause I didn't have the money to cover my fees until 2-3 days after the 1st. We'd been off for a while, and were still doing other things IRL while we sat around waiting for Salvage to start up. Mostly idle in our social LS that is "run" by real life friends of ours, we were just not doing much. The LS leader decides he wants to make some random remark, nothing loaded, nothing bad, but it wasn't something that required a response... so we didn't respond. A few minutes later he got all huffy and puffy and we knew it was going to lead to him having some bullshit outburst.
And you know, it did. He started calling us ungrateful (for what exactly?) and elitist (ok thats true). I basically finally said all of the things I've been wanting to say to him for a while... that he was a noob and no matter how hard the two of us have tried, he has never gotten any better at the game. He has been playing longer than Shannon (which means a lot longer than me) and he just cannot progress. We've taken so much time away from doing the things WE want to do to try and help his useless ass. Ultimately, it ended with us two dropping our pearls and ending our communication with him. The sad thing is, we were bound to him because of his girlfriend, who was Shannons old roommate in the Army, and they're good friends. Not only is his winning attitude displayed in the game (throwing hissy fits when things don't go his way, even if we knew better), but he treats his real life girlfriend (who just had his baby) just as bad, or worse.
Anyway, as I've been wanting to leave Seraph for a while, something I'd wanted to do even prior to joining Galleon, we decided to just go. I'd loaded up enough cash to move our accounts, so we did. Caitsith this time. Yes, I know, it makes me look like some asshat server jumper, but I wasn't going to get anywhere on Seraph, its a deadend server if you aren't in one of a handful of linkshells that actually manage to do shit....
The surroundings are similar, obviously. The only major difference, aside from it being a new server, is Rolanberry bazaars are in Batallia, which has always confused and bothered me. We haven't really joined any linkshells, so its been pretty quiet. Of course, for absolutely no reason, my laptop decided to partially die on me again after the weekend, so we didn't even really play at all last week. I'm sort of back right now, but I'll be sending my laptop off sometime in the next few days to get this POS fixed again.
We're leveling Samurai and Red Mage, which is probably something I'll miss while not being able to play. I really like the job, I've always liked it. We're at 55 now, about 2k to 56. I only wish that sometimes No was good enough, instead of a long diatribe as to why you don't want to... but thats another story.
So yeah, fuck Seraph, hello Caitsith, blah blah. There are two people here I already knew (one of whom was the reason I ended up here, she's been on me for months to switch over), both of which are in the same LS, one which I've applied for as well. Anyway, off to do other shit, cause 2 hours of seeking has been pretty much useless tonight.
Oh, any of you Seraphic retards who feel like giving me shit about this can pretty much go ahead and fuck yourselves. You're a joke on other servers, your bullshit drama thread on BG made that pretty obvious.
