so.. I was a bit bored..

now... usually that would involve delving into some porno sites deep philosophical discussions with myself..

however..
today I decided to try and look into how much getting to a certain wedding would run me..
now.. I am an adventurous sort when it comes to travel..
mostly because 'adventurous' and 'cheap' can go hand-in-hand :-D

so..
mode of travel: flying..
opinion: blech... bo-ring!
time: a few hours of flight time.
cost: bout 260

mode of travel: greyhound!
opinion: hrrrmm.. very.. very interesting..  it is slow.. ponderous and was featured as a major mode of transportation on Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.. I can go for some Flintstones sing-a-long!
time:  around 34 hrs
cost: about 170..

mode of travel: amtrak!!!
opinion: like.. o-m-g!!!  that would freaking rawk!!!  how cool is that?  trains rock!  they're fun and noisy and it's a great way to see the country as you zip past it in a gleaming, diesel powered, steel coffin
time: 46 hrs.. da-yum!!!
cost: 140

mode of travel: driving!!
opinion: w00t! w00t with a side of JAWESOME!!  I can cross Lake Michigan on a ferry.. and drive through Canaedia.. and piss off a bunch of Canadians by calling it Canaedia!  or.. I can drive around the lake..another good way to see the country
time: 22 hrs
cost: around 200

mode of travel: walking!!!
opinion: I'm very lazy..
time: 2 weeks (not including time for sleeping, eating, pooping, maste.. err.. star gazing)
cost: FREE!!!!

I couldn't find anything dealing with container ships or traveling aboard boats via the lakes..
I guess I will lean towards the plane (insert sad emoticon face)  it is the quickest.. (booo)

I wonder if there is a dirigible service..
hrrmmm...
it's worth looking into :-D
