If you have important information to deliver to someone, it's probably best not to have a conveyer with an accent convey it by phone when the recipient of the information is pretty clueless about the issues involved.
Bob's test results were NOT a possible positive for FIV. They were a possible positive for FIP. FIP is *far* more common, and usually undiagnosed... but it's also fatal and incurable. The "treatment" is basically to treat the symptoms so you make the cat as comfortable as it can be as it lives out the rest of its life.
So now I'm REALLY keeping my fingers crossed that his re-test results come out negative. I can really use your thoughts and hugs around now... heh. Thanks!
