Lunch-hour in a galaxy far, far away...

So, the lunchtime gaming crew met for our first session with the Star Wars Saga Edition RPG. Last week we did character creation, and this week we actually got to play. It was a ton of fun, for this humble GM at least, and the players seemed to like it, too. Here’s the report; it's really long, in case the number of cuts didn't make that clear.

No minis, yet, though using them is definitely on the table (no pun intended). No major snags, either, at least in play: since the fights were relatively small, and took place in pretty tight quarters, we didn't really feel the lack.

On the other hand, I'm having some "refrigerator logic" moments now, realizing some of the rules stuff I missed or forgot, and at least once -- when Cheb Force thrusted the one pirate out of Camray's fighting space, I think the Twi'lek should've gotten an attack of opportunity on the guy -- the error probably would've been caught with minis.

It's nothing major, in hindsight, but I may well try to whip up some physical representation of the upcoming showdown with Segulah Vax. I'm even considering drawing the floorplan on one of the big dry erase boards in the conference room we use, and bringing in magnets to represent the characters.

(OTOH, there was a big rules oversight I made, but I'll mention that directly to pkdan below ( ... )

Danged fast playing indeed, but mooks should drop like flies :) I am definitely looking forward to next time, and I've been watching jedi battles to get in the proper mood.

Hey, I realized I totally forgot about Second Wind with your character: if you're down below half your HP, as a swift action you can gain back HP equal to 25% of your max or your CON score, whichever is higher. For you, that'd be 16 HP. Since it's a new rule and I should've told you before Charlotte and Steve got to healing (and since your HP total hasn't come up since), I'm willing to "retcon" it in.

You're back at full HP, by my calculations. But you can only catch a Second Wind once a day, kid, so don't get cocky. ;-)
