Nine

Spent the afternoon watching NINE which is based on the musical play of the same name. It's about Guido Contini as he struggles to deal with his life as a famous film director & his personal life involving his mother, wife, mistress, muse, costume designer, and his agent. I didn't have much sympathy for him tho' as he basically brings all the drama upon himself. One must take responsibility for one's choices in life.

I'd really like to see the play as I think much was lost because as a movie it's on a flat screen - doesn't mean the movie wasn't good but live would be much richer as the costumes were amazing as well as the dance routines. Loved the Italiano song by Kate Hudson who also had one of the best dance routines next to Marion Cotillard's last dance number. Both women were fantastic in the movie. Judy Dench was brilliant as the costume designer. Drawback was that Penelope Cruise can't really sing. Her song was much synthesized to make is sound barely passable but then again it wasn't any worse than Pierce Brosnan in Mama Mia lol. Cruise was good as the mistress regardless of her singing. Didn't even recognized Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas until the credits rolled.

After headed to Canadian Tire to purchase few much needed items then over to Yueh Tung to pick up dinner consisting of Chili Chicken, Schezwan Shrimp & Cantonese chow mien. YUMMY! Fabulous food for a rocking New Years Eve!

Excited about 2010 because it's going to be amazing...
