Well, here's the moment of truth. I never, ever thought I was going to do this. No - really. Sure, I had a mySpace account (and still do, which I'll continue to keep a few tabs on), but after expanding to livejournal I didn't think I really needed another account.
Until I realized something. Only writers or, at the very least, would-be writers use livejournal. Which is okay. It's very useful for what it does, which is serving as a blog site and for forming social networks made up of people who like to hear themselves talk (or read what they write or... whatever). But I wasn't getting in touch with my old friends from high school nor my new friends from Pacific this way.
So, I set up a facebook account. For those of you who are not already aware of it it is located at
this address. No worries about this account though - I intend fully to continue using it (indeed, it's likely to get more overall attention than my facebook account). This is still my public spot - my corner of the world blogosphere and my chance to meet and interact with other writers while pretending to be one of those old pamphleteers of days gone past.
My facebook account, comparatively, will be a more private account. Yes, I'm pretty open as to who I'm willing to let in (at least online - I'm pretty shy in person, all things considered) but it's going to be where I interact on a more intimate level. This is more of my... shall we say... public face. Which is why I'm never going to post a private post here - just like I never have up to this point.
Cheers to all, and thanks for listening (or reading, I suppose) so far!
