of marking and a Melbourne tour

One of life's great mysteries: imprecise communication between students and tutors. One would think that their narcissism would abait for long enough to at least include what course they're taking when they ask about 'assignment one'... or 'when am I getting my marks back?'

For those that are curious, SH and I are off to Melbourne in the last week of November with most of the women in my family. It was meant to be a 'girls only' shopping expedition for my cousin Victoria's 17th birthday but my mum felt guilty for paying for my sister's flights (among other things) in the last couple of years so she's flying SH and I down and back, and covering most of our accommodation cost. Long story short, if you're around call/sms me and we'll touch base, clink glasses, or shake it with aplomb in Melbourne.

If only I knew of some conference to present at while I'm down that way... Maybe Dimitris from the VCA will let me present a paper or something... I'd like to talk about Rothko and the Abyss, but I think I need to do more of a 'sell'... Maybe that GLR article will work.
