As thefuriouscynic was flaunting her participation in this, I thought it might be nice to tap all you cinephiles on the shoulder and point out how sometimes theory COMES TRUE! It's especially dreadful when it's ideology-critique.

Who'd have thought a country could be offended by a film to the point of xenophobia? Indeed, I wonder what Xenophanes would say on the matter? Let these things be believed as similar to the truth... For even if he should actually manage to say what was the case, nevertheless he himself does not know it; but belief is found over all.

Damn those pre-Socrats spun some fabulous lines. Apparently Xenophanes was the teacher of Parmenides, that 'other' teacher of Plato.
