Are we sure this isn't satire? I know it's on HuffPo, but Andy Borowitz is credited as the author.

hmm... I can't sort it out on the internet. I think you may be right, it seems like it could be a joke based on some other comments he's made recently.

I believe the cigarette thing is authentic (although probably at least half-joke, I can't bring myself to care much about what McCain says lately), but I'm pretty sure anything with Borowitz' name on it is a joke.

It's a shame the don't allow comments on the thread, I love watching satire/not satire arguments. Shades of the Open Source Swift Kick to the Balls Project.

Ah, you are correct, this is satire. I just looked him up instead of the issue, and everything he writes is satire. It's amazing how many think tank sites quoted this piece, but it seems that they have also amended their mistake.

"Open Source Swift Kick to the Balls Project" is great.
