*Alan is standing over a table, peering at a steaming substance in a beaker. There is a window open, and the door slightly ajar, mainly so he won't faint from fumes. Quite clearly, he is in the midst of some sort of experiment, but (probably) wouldn't mind an interruption.*

Oh. All right. I'd ask what exactly it is you're nearly done with, but-- well. I daresay I wouldn't understand much of it.
