Arg my fall schedule sucks!
Just dropped one of my class for fall quarter, which happens to be the class that I wanted to take! Darn it. Two problems recently arose to my attention:
1. I forgot to sign up for discussion when I added the class last spring *fault* and then realized after checking my schedule that the discussion conflicted with my math class *double fault*. Now normally I wouldn't even care to go to discussion (ok...so I only put off discussion once or twice) but this is a graduate course! I'd be damned if I don't go to discussion.
2. The class requires 5 books! 5 books x $70 each = $350? What the heck! I like the prof and all but this is ridiculous!
So since the books are too pricey and my schedule stinks, I'm left with having to sign up for a class which seems to be interesting, Metallobiochemistry: the learning of Fe, Mg, K, etc..and their functions in our bodies. However, the prof is just horrible. Had him for lab discussion where he went in without notes in hand and proceeded to explain lab procedures with a lot of help from the TAs. Just plain unpreparedness! Grr. Oh well I'm just gonna take the class P/NP and decide if I should drop after 4th week.
