Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.
I was away from my family for the first time ever on Thanksgiving. I was not sure what to expect. I had a bunch of friends from work over, and cooked the house down. everyone had a good time and enjoyed the food. I had a great time and was pleased that my cooking efforts were appreciated. it was a great day! the downside is that now I have to finish cleaning up, and I had to work today so I'm pooped! least I can sleep in tomorrow before I have to work...
so what am I thankful for this year?
I'm thankful for my family. My parents, even though they can really drive me nuts. My sisters, who mean so much to me, even though they are all far away. It's amazing how close sisters can stay inspite of hundreds or even thousands of miles.
I'm thankful that I was able to spend the day surrounded by friends since I couldn't be with family.
I'm thankful for my job, which I hate, because it has paid my bills these months, and because without it I wouldn't have the friends that I do. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
I'm thankful for the opportunity that came my way Tuesday morning by way of a job as a production assistant in the office for a small indie feature. I don't know when I'm supposed to start, but I am grateful for the chance to prove myself.
