The Daily Demoscene
Guess I'm not really out of the minimalism woods yet. Here's the Northern Dragons "Binary Alchemy" which took fifth place at NVScene 2008. In addition to the minimal, high contrast black and white style of this demo, I really like how literate it is. references to the artwork of M. C. Escher, the tower of Babel and others abound in this demo. The animation style is also interesting, given that this work was done on a computer, rather than by animators or rendering artists.
