The Daily Demoscene
Here's yet another paradigm-shattering demo: "Invoke" by Still and Conspiracy (if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm really becoming a fan of Conspiracy's work!). Minimalism seems to be the theme today on the Daily Demoscene and "Invoke" definitely fits in well. I particularly like how the demo starts off virtually monochrome and the colors seep into the frame ever so slowly. Artisitically using "glitchy" errors in the video to match the soundtrack was also an inspired move into new territory. This demo took second place in the 64k compo at Breakpoint 2008. If the silver medalist was this good, I'm wondering what took home the gold!
