Yeah, so I missed the 2600 meeting.
On the other hand, I did manage to pick up a couple of video games for the_silent_ech0 at Micro Center and deliver them to him at UM Med Center. Eventually several people from the meeting made it over to the hospital to visit our convalescing friend. Obviously, since it was Ech0, much military gear and hardware was discussed.
After that, I headed out on a very enjoyable date with a special lady (you know who you are!) It was really fun, even if it did start out by me getting hopelessly lost in downtown Ypsilanti and missing the Gepetto Files. Manzinga was also cool in a Detroit garage rock/hard rock sort way. I also found out that evening that Bell's Brown Ale is quite good, especially if it's on draft!
Saturday found me traveling to Perrysburg, Ohio for Nuintari's housewarming party. tygerdsebat, bleakenigma and muchomas also headed there from Cleveland. It was very good to catch up with friends over grilled burgers, appetizers and beer. I planned on staying the night, to avoid problems driving (or rather drinking and driving!) Unfortunately, Northern Ohio experienced an ice storm last night which it's still recovering from. With the suspension and alignment on the Camaro currently not at 100%, I'd rather wait until I know that I can travel safely home.
While I wait for the roads to clear, I can hang out on the net, watch Appleseed (which turned out to be a disappointment) and play Rayman Rabbits on Wii.
If I start out and things look bad, there are multiple places which I can abort to if the roads turn out to be worse than expected.
