The One with the Hyper-Si-Mi-Lan Bolic Geometry

The 4th Module of my Masters started yesterday. 
Seriously when I came out from the tutorial, I tot I see stars circling round my head. 
Lesson 1: Hyperbolic Geometry.

And my lecturer sums up the topic in an email he just send out to us:

math and geometry and philosophy are kindred spirits. It is through math and geometry that the philosophers look for the true elements of existence and the meaning of life. ie: 1+1 = 2, therefor, 1+1 should ALWAYS be 2 coz it is the logical thing, and thus, is the proper thing ... and thus is the proscribed thing ... LOLLLLLL

aristotle many many times discussed many euclidean elements in his metaphysics ... gegegege

that is what ur lecturer so cutely say lo tongue in cheek :

"The intention here is not to make you proficient in one non-euclidean geometry. But at least when asked you can talk intelligently about it. HHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAAA

lolll .... philosophy when read when one is OLD like me somehow has a very different meaning to when I first read it in my twenties ... *haiz* ... lolll
