Chapter Twenty-One :: Voice

[There's the thud as a bag hits the wooden floor in one of the rooms and the squeak of springs as something heavy drops onto that as well. A loud and tired sigh that sounds a bit distant then a minute (and I do mean 60 seconds) of silence.]

...Does anyone else hear the creepy heartbeat that...isn't your own? I know it's not mine. Mine's too fast

I actually don't sing, my talent in any of the arts is miserably lacking.

I bet I could teach you. And it'd be good to drown the noise out.

I mean I literally can't sing. I've known this since I was ten.

Easily, I sound like a goat bleating when I do.

I bet you're being hard on yourself. But I could teach you to drum and I do the singing. How's that sound?

It's not annoying me that much yet that I'd torment my ears with another loud noise, the drumming I mean.
