Summary: Sasuke's seal has started to react after almost six months of being unrestricted. Itachi doesn't like this, and decides it's time to finally get rid of the snake inside before worse comes to worst.

He had been expecting it, waiting for it, actually. It had all been just a waiting game. So now that the time had finally come, Itachi offered that was still one part of his plans; to rid his brother of that accursed snake once and for all. Of course it was not with out its consequences. Itachi knew, for sure, that he would at least lose his sight after the deed was done, but anything else -specifically that of pushing himself when the illness in his lungs had progressed so far- he was unsure of ( ... )

Sasuke glanced up at Itachi a s he approached, hiding his relief. They hadn't even moved to start yet and he was all ready starting to feel fatigued. Consequence of yester, he guessed, coupled with the continued efforts to suppress Orochimaru. But if he was this tired all ready, perhaps there wouldn't be as much strain on Itachi as there would have been if he was well rested.

The teen simply gritted his teeth together and nodded. He had taken out his sword from the seal on his wrist, after a few attempts, and left it at his apartment, just to be on the safe side. Orochimaru's jutsus had placed them there to begin with, and he didn't want to chance them disappearing after the snake was killed too.

"Always. Orochimaru's getting more impatient by the second, however." Itachi would be able to tell, too, by the slight strain and tiny trails of blood on his neck around the mark. It was just slightly obvious that he was in pain.

"Let us get started then."

He wasted no time, straight to the point. The sooner Orochimaru was out the better, in his opinion. The snake had been to much trouble for him and Sasuke.

Itachi nodded shifting, everything about him settling into preparation for this. His legs moving into a better stance, his arms taut and ready to go on the offensive and defensive, whichever the might need first, and his eyes, along with that shift in his chakra flow, the Mangekyou spinning to the surface.

"Come. And do not hold back, Sasuke."

Not hold back? That was an impossible request, Itachi. Sasuke would unconsciously hold back, he knew it. Yet he pushed on anyway, springing off his feet and heading straight for Itachi. He wouldn't use his Sharingan, even though he knew he should. He woldn't, because he knew that the seal would react to it while in this state. It always had in the past, and this time wouldn't be any exception ( ... )
