Summary: Link helps Allen with a much belated supply run on the last day of his stay.
Dawn found Allen slipping out of bed, one hand pressed to his very flat stomach in an attempt to suppress the low rumbling. Hunger -- among other, less uncomplicated things -- ensured a sleepless night for him, but a misplaced sort of defiance helped keep his eyes shut until the first ray of sunlight sliced them open. He honestly doubted anyone in the room was asleep by this point. That didn't stop his feet from whispering their way across the cracked tiles anyway, because appearances were still important. A sagging cupboard in the corner was eased open with barely a creak to reveal two lonely cans of tuna and a whole lot of dust. Allen stood there, waited for an internal debate to war its familiar way across his thankfully hidden face, then shut the cupboard with a decisive click like he always did the last few times.
From there, it was easy to let routine guide him exactly four paces to the right, where he could lean close to a grimy window and let his breath fog Credinta from sight. Maybe, his mind's voice began, before he all but flattened that thought. He didn't have the luxury for maybe's anymore.
Even so, the Exorcist made no move to back down from his post, eyes fixed on the growing patch of dull white on glass.
