Characters: OU!Kanda and OU!Alma When: December 12th, first day of the 4th wall event Where: Kanda's room Rating: PG Summary: In light of a few new arrivals, Alma's been told to head for Kanda's room and stay there.
When Kanda heard the knock on his door, he had Mugen ready in one hand, just to be on the safe side. Though, the only visitors he's only had his entire time here have been Allen and Alma, but. Can't be too careful with Crow and Noah both wandering around now.
Cautiously, Kanda opened the door a crack, peeked out to see who it was before opening the door fully.
Alma shook his head, peering nervously at Mugen before quickly moving inside. There was no reason to be afraid of the weapon, of course, but he'd never seen it drawn before. That meant things were serious.
Nodding, Kanda stepped back to allow Alma to come inside. Once he was inside, Kanda shut the door. He'd rather not to take extreme measures, since he knew that Alma wasn't the type to just stay in one place, but it had to be done.
"We'll get your books and things when it's a little more quiet outside."
Alma shifted awkwardly from foot to foot, finally putting his jacket on properly as he glanced about the room. Not that there was anything new to see, but it at least felt better than standing there doing nothing.
"Is there really a Noah here? Allen said there was a Noah."
Kanda paused for a moment as he attached his sword to the strap on his side. Easier access.
"Yeah. Both of us have fought him in the past. One of the Noahs, at least." Kanda glanced over at Alma and let out a small breath. "Nothing's going to happen, Alma. We're going to make sure of it."
"Then I'll protect you. I'll be damned if anything happens to you. Don't worry about fighting, Alma." Kanda walked back over toward his bed and grabbed the blanket from it and handing it to Alma.
He took the blanket, wrapping it over his head and around himself, pink cheeks still perfectly visible through the little hole. Alma knew he'd probably be okay no matter what happened (Because he was always okay), but to hear such protective talk actually coming from Kanda...
Alma smiled into his blanket under the headpat, holding onto that warm little feeling growing in his chest. Even in the cold with scary things like Noah about... things would be okay.
Alma flashed Kanda a grin before scampering over to Kanda's bed and hauling himself up into it. It was pretty late, and some of the adrenaline from his initial talk and freak-out with Allen was starting to wear off.
Kanda gave a soft snort and walked over to the foot of the bed, making himself comfortable at the foot of it. He could easily watch both the door and the window from here.
Scooting closer, Alma blinked up at the older boy. He was a somewhat comical sight to see, completely covered by the blanket but for his face and a few tufts of black hair sticking out.
"I hope they're all okay. It's really cold outside."
Cautiously, Kanda opened the door a crack, peeked out to see who it was before opening the door fully.
"Come on. Where you followed?"

For warmth. Yes, that's why. Of course.
