As soon as the shop keeper started finding the bodies, his first reaction was to run. So, he took it. There had been a few, missteps to say the least with the man tripping over a few hands, arms and legs. He had managed to avoid a head though. It was when Matt managed to get to the stairwell that things got stranger.

A boy trying to go down the stairs on a... Body. How disgusting... Poor body. "What a horrid person..."

Youji's ears flicked towards the new comer with disinterest, frowning lightly. "Nyaa, tell me 'bout it. He's no fun at all. What a useless person, even when dead." A small trickle of blood welled up along his bump, and he blinked at the strange boy calmly. "Your hair is puffy."

"Meant you... Disrespectful to the dead." Matt carefully stepped around another body, resisting the urge to vomit as he did so. He wanted to get out of this place but now he was here dealing with some rude.. Wait..

"You have kitty ears... I like kitties." The thought of bodies being all over was suddenly gone from the shop keeper's mind as he looked at the other male, taking in his feline ears and tail.

His tail flicked, shooting him a look that said 'duh'. "I'm not a kitty," he said blithely, turning up his nose, getting to his feet and tugging at his play thing again. There were six more flights of stairs to practice on. "And it's dead. Dead is dead. If it died it's weak, why should I respect it? Might as well have fun with it."

"..Look like one." What a rude child. Matt honestly hoped he hadn't acted like that when he was small. Lords know his father would have had none of it. "Those that are dead from yesterday, set the world for us today. Not weak when murdered at work.. Trying to help."

Matt slapped at the boy's hands to get him to leave the body alone. "Leave him be. Lest it be you becoming my 'sled' soon." Grey-brown eyes narrowed in warning. He did not like people disrespecting those that passed.

Youji glanced at his hands, giving a bit of a giggle. As if that would stop him. "You talk weeeeird," he purred, looking up at him with a challenging smirk, "I do whatever I want. You can stop be, you puffy haired adult."

Matt ignored the comment about how he spoke. He knew tons of people that talked like him. Some little twit wasn't going to get at him for that. Digging into his jacket pocket, the older pulled out a screwdriver, and in a very out of character way, held it as if it were a knife. "We'll see how much doing what you want happens when I take your eyes. Ungrateful little shit." Matt didn't get mad often, but something about this kid was pushing all the wrong buttons in the shop keeper.

Youji's lips twitched. That particular threat meant something more to him that most. His jaw remained stiff for a moment, trying to gauge his seriousness before stepping closer. "Do it then," he said, looking up at him with a smirk.

Noting the stiff jaw and poised posture, Matt took the opportunity to push the younger back against the wall as he came closer. "I changed my mind... Hard to see your punishment with no eyes." Using his free hand, the shop keeper grabbed Youji by the chin, pushing his head against the wall. Screwdriver in hand, Matt stabbed one of those annoyingly twitchy cat ears. The tool punching through the furry skin to become stuck in the wall.

Youji's eyes widened in surprise at the non-bluff, though there was no hint of pain on his face, not even a twitch on his face at the moment of impact. "He- Hey! What'd you do?" he demanded, eyes trying to peer up wards, ears twitching, and tugging against the wound. He registered that he was pinned, but the pain never came through to suggest pulling himself free wasn't the best method to un-pin himself. "Let go!"

It wasn't often Matt came against someone with the ability to not connect things properly like pain. It seemed as though this boy had that little problem. A smirk formed on the older's lips as he watched the other struggle a bit.

"Bad idea. You'll get more blood all over you." Matt took a step back to watch the boy, tapping at his chin in thought. "I'll free you when you start respecting those that have passed."

Youji continued to pull, tearing the delicate skin of his ear further. "They're dead, what does it matter?" he groaned, reaching up and grasping the screwdriver, tugging at it as hard as it could.

"They're dead because horrible people made them that way." Matt grabbed the boy's hands to get them away from the screwdriver. "Just because someone is gone doesn't mean you're free to ruin what's left of them. Would you want someone to do things to you when you're blood covered and dead?"

His eyes narrowed, and light bulb shattered nearby, fighting to pull his hands away from the stranger. "If I'm dead I won't care. And if they're stupid enough to get killed it's their own fault," he snapped, aiming a kick for Matt's shins.

"Killed in bed by a madman is not their fault." The older moved enough to not take the full force of the kick, but the foot still knocked one leg enough to make Matt misstep a bit. "You have not a single drop of caring in you. People like you should be dead."

"Why should I care?" He glowered. "Weak people don't matter. If they're weak they should die. Useless people. I'm not weak." He reached up again with the hand that had been released, tugging harshly at the screwdriver, and gritting his teeth.
