Friendships
Finally met up with kattiwampus to buy her dinner and wine for her birthday. Weather was lovely when we met up - which was 30 minutes earlier than planned due to the roadworks (I know they normally delay - we sailed straight through) - so we went to The Kings Arms at Sandford as we could walk from Samaire's house to it quite easily.
The place had had a facelift, as had the menu and we both decided on posh burgers (I know, don't mention the bread or the melted cheese!!) and three bottles of wine for our stay there.
Food went down very well (after we'd battled with the wind) as did the wine and the conversation flowed. We put the world to rights, caught up, laughted, cried and generally had one of the best nights we've ever had.
Just how it should be with good friends :)
S came and picked us up god bless him, and Chris gave me homegrown beetroot, new potatoes (which are the size of jacket spuds!!) and some green stuff I'm not too sure what it is :)
