How to Join Dreamwidth with your Livejournal Account!
NSL @ Dreamwidth is exactly like the old NSL that used to be here on Livejournal. The only difference is the location! If you miss the old updates, you will still be able to view the ones we post with Dreamwidth, as long as you join the community over at Dreamwidth (the updates should show up under your friend pages).
Apparently, there is now a way to join Dreamwidth with your Livejournal Account, so that, as mentioned, you can view all updates on your friends page right here on LJ. The only difference is that you will not be able to post anything on the Dreamwidth comm if you wanted to share something. In that case, if you'd like to make a DW for the occasion, let me know and I can give you some codes to join for free!
To add NSL to your friends page, you have to take the following steps:
1. Log into your Livejournal Account
2. Go to http://www.dreamwidth.org
3. At the upper right-hand corner of the Dreamwidth Homepage, you will see a link that says, Log in with OpenID? Click this.
4. Once you have done that, the screen will ask you to type in your username. You must type in your username like this: username.livejournal.com
Do not forget the livejournal.com portion of it! Then hit continue~
5. Now that you have logged in, a screen will take you back to your LJ, asking if you would like to Grant Identity Validation? The choice is up to you, but I recommend selecting Yes; always, so you don't have to continuously take these steps. As long as you select something other than No, however, you should be able to continue.
6. You should now be logged in. From here, go to http://attackallaround.dreamwidth.org/
7. After reading the rules (the first entry on the page), hit the User Info button at the top of the page, which should take you to THIS PAGE.
8. Across from the community icon, you will see a little green button that says Join Community. Hit this button, then select Join Community again on the next page, as well as Add attackallaround on the following page. After you've done all these things, you will officially be a member.
