The dregs of yesterday mornings cup of tea got tossed when I spotted what looked like part of a bug in the bottom of the cup. Didn't take a good look at it - just tossed it straight away. Figured I hadn't been paying attention when I made it and it was just one of those things so thought no more on it.
This morning I paid a little more attention - checked the cup and the tea bag - but wasn't really particular about it. Cos it wouldn't happen again...... As I get towards the end of my cup of tea I notice a similar bug bit that I saw yesterday. I look closer and there's a head and feelers! So that was the end of this morning cup of tea as well.
I went through the rest of the box of tea - all clear. Not knowing where else they could've come from I empty the kettle into a colander in the sink. A whole cockroach comes out!
The kettle, colander and cockroach are still sitting on the sink. I'll deal with them later. That the cockraches all had the crap boiled out of them doesn't really make up for the ew! factor.... not knowing that there was 2-3 of them in there for who knows how long! And why did I get them all in my tea?!
