This Ship Has Landed...
Well a new month, a new placement and I thought it was about time I added a first entry into my LJ. So I just thought I'd say "HEY PEEPS". :-D
So I turned over my monthly calender this afternoon (when I came home from the hospital) and it's a lovely picture of Elessar riding Brego very quickly... with a picture of Minas Tirith in the background and Gandalf riding Shadowfax...very fast too. Do the makers of the calender think that Novemeber is 'rushing around' month? I mean yes it is coming up to Christmas but does everyone really need to rush everywhere?
Did you know that it is All Saints Day in the UK, and Marlborough Anniversary in New Zealand? No, neither did I, but my daily calender says so, so I'll believe it.
Today I began my new rotation in respiratory medicine. Today was pretty good but very long ~ a three hour outpatients clinic then a 2 and a half hour ward round. *sigh* I was a bit dead on my feet earlier, I'm just not used to all this walking around, but I'm sure I'll get used to it soon enough. It's just about getting in the flow... But anyway my consultant is a lovely, lovely Irish chap, so I'm sure the next 3 weeks will be great, even though the days will be very long I'm sure I'm gonna learn a lot.
