let the party begin....
So I finished my first week of work. So far I really like it there. The staff is pretty cool. Luckily I didn't lose any shifts as I got to work the main bar on Tuesday and didn't get rained out on the roof this afternoon/evening. I was hired basically to bartend on the roof, which could end up being great, but if the rain keeps up it could kill me. We will see....
After work I headed into NYC to get some hair dye...bleached blonde at the moment...but do not fret...I will be red again after this update! Then I met up with my friends Richard and Jim and some others. WHO would have guessed you can go out and get $1 (that's right ONE DOLLAR) frozen cosmos in NYC??!?!??? They had been drinking all afternoon though, so 2 drinks for me and we were all headed to our respective homes.
As for the rest of the weekend... Not sure what all I will get done during the day tomorrow, but will be meeting up with many of my good friends at QXT's at night. At midnight my poor butt is in for it as many have promised me birthday spankings. Perhaps I should wear some padding!!!
Saturday I will be having lunch with my friend and neighbor, Leia, in the city then I'll be going for round 2 at QXT's. Richard and Jim and others may join me, so I am most likely having a sleepover at my place Sat, night. Sunday I recuperate!
ACK! Just pulled out the birthday card I got today from my grandparents. My granfather inscribed: "Our prayer is that you turn back to the LORD. GOD has many blessings for you when you trust in HIM and you will find true happiness in your heart when you surrender to the LORD." Gee, thanks. Leave it to them to use this as an opportunity to preach to me. Thanks for the "happy birthday...ashame you are going to BURN IN HELL!" wish. I feel dirty about accepting the check they sent me.
