me: I think I'm starting to get Braxton Hicks contractions
Matthew: Already?
me: It feels really tight. And I've been a little crampy all morning, on and off
Matthew: That's a little earlier than normal, isn't it?
Me: "Braxton Hicks contractions are sporadic uterine contractions that start about 6 weeks into your pregnancy, although you won't be able to feel them that early. You probably won't start to notice them until sometime after mid-pregnancy, if you notice them at all."
Matthew: Huh, okay. I thought it was supposed to start around month 8.
me: I'll ask doc about it on Mon. I've just been feeling sore the last day or so. Like, below my belly button.
Matthew: Okies.
me: I was wonderin if it was the Braxton Hicks stuff or just normal pregnancy aches and pains. I was kind of sore just before baby hit a growth spurt around the 5th month. So, maybe baby is getting ready to do some more growing!
Matthew: Well, baby does need to pack on those pounds!
me: When I was in the shower this morning, I was resting my hand on my belly. And baby kicked me right in the hand! Sort of like a high five, I thought. Definitely getting stronger. :)
