Reflecting on the Script, the background of their role isn’t there. This is Yoshida Daihachi’s , who directed Kamiki Ryunosuke and Hashimoto Ai’s work.
Hashimoto: Higashihara Kasumi is a very cheerful and lively girl. I think perhaps it’s because she’s subjected to bullying that’s why her character changed into someone dubious.
Kamiki: Maeda and Kasumi’s relationship is good during junior high, they often had a lively discussion about movies. After entering high school because they started to have different classes, naturally, they no longer interact. In high school, Maeda has to fight against the sudden changes in his environment, that’s why he became so hesitant to move forward.
Maeda (Kamiki) from the filming club who’s the lowest in their class’ social structure, with Kasumi from the badminton club who is in a higher position in the hierarchy but has a secret that cannot be told to anyone. The two people acted particularly as high school students with a subtle mentality, the same with their role, during shooting they are high school students.
In acting, have you encountered any similarities between your role and yourself?
Hashimoto: I also don’t like broken (personal) relationships, so I can understand Kasumi’s mentality in observing people’s motives when dealing with others. The most unexpected is the one playing as Kasumi formerly belonged to a badminton club too (laughs).
Kamiki: Me and Maeda are not the same at all. in high school I have a lot of friends, I can almost say that the whole grade were my friends.
--Then during shooting, did the two of you became friends quickly too?
Hashimoto: Although I’ve always wanted to interact with Kamiki-kun..
Kamiki: The result was not successful (sweat). I also wanted to take the initiative to make a conversation but I also feel that is not very good…
Hashimoto: Nothing’s wrong with that~ Nothing’s not good~
Kamiki: The two of us seems to be paranoid sometimes. Now we’re good friends already!
