Random Note
Soooo this weekend, i went to buy some art stuff in NYC.
I was going to just buy a canvas, but then I ended up buying 2 new brushes,
some additional paint, and 2 water color sketchbooks, and somehow, somehow (twice),
the total amount ended up to be more than $100.
Ahahaha...there goes my own christmas present....
Art is an expensive hobby. Especially when you are no longer a student....
I like being at the art supply store though. All the customers are obviously artists or people that really love art, and that share of interest start random conversations.
I also decided to walk around midtown area of Manhattan, which wasn't a really good idea.
Streets like 5th avenue are especially crowded and it takes 10 minutes or so to walk just 3 blocks.
Usually it's like 2 or 3 mins. (or a minute, if you ignore the traffic light).
But, the windows of the boutiques and brand stores on 5th avenue are so beautifully decorated,
it's no wonder that people's pace naturally slows down.
I wish I had camera so i could take pictures of some of those windows.
One memorable one was a dress covered with silver crystal beads.
It was surrounded by bright, orange/gold draperies, and some more beads and crystals spread by the foot of mannequin, like lost treasures of long ago.
So pretty. Granted I'm not into shiny stuff, but it was amazing to look at.
If it wasn't too crowded, I'd love to go back and take time looking at each of those windows.
Anyways. Aside from venturing into the city--
I've been entertaining myself with AMVs.
