No, I'm not back, but I think I'll be soon, I miss you all ♥
I'm just writing a fanfiction an in need of beta please!!!
I beg anybody who can to beta me ;o;

anyway , here's the chapter I unbeta'd.

Title:What I keep for myself
Chapter: I
Author: nishibi
Pairing: Heiderich x Edward
Rating: G for now
Disclaimer: not mine.
Note: No particular warning, apart from hu~~~... May contain (lotsa) mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker and don't have a beta neither, just help from loved buddies ♥. So I apologise for this. Oh and, a bit of language, alcohol mentioned but we all know alcohol is good, alcohol is bad.
So this is my first long fanfic, or at least meant to be longer than one chapter. Hope you'll enjoy despite the lack of good plot and good humour >_>;;.

. What I Keep For Myself .

Edward sat on the bed, taking off his clothes one by one with slow moves not to wake up the boy by his side.
He frowned, bit his lower lip and rolled his right shoulder, "aching bitchy 'cause of that damn bloody weather", he gracefully thought.
He hated the weather in Munich, for it was way colder and rainier than Resembool's. He shook his head to chase away the very thought of Resembool and his childhood and pulled with an unsuspected delicacy the blanket his roommate was wrapped in.
He slipped in the bed tasting the delightful warmth the younger boy brought on, stretching his frozen limbs as much as he could to taste more.
The golden blonde was now able to sleep peacefully, still enveloped by alcohol's vapors, a large smile drawn on his lips.
Tonight, he was going to sleep without the disturbing thought of Alfons yelling at him because he , once again, came home late and drunk, waking up half the building falling loudly on the floor dragging along everything his stretched arms could have reached.
His smile turned into a grimace for a few seconds and he fell asleep, laying on his back, mouth wide open, snoring like a truck. At least he was going to sleep well.

--

The gentle caress of a shy sun ray got him awoken the following morning.
He groaned, rubbing his hurting forehead with his flesh hand, cursing anything he could curse. He threw a sick glance at the empty room and called the German's name. As nobody answered but a ("fucking noisy") bird, Edward deduced that he was gone to the bakery or something, as he never missed a breakfast, despite the lack of money.
Edward rolled on his side to the place Alfons had slept in, and buried his face in the pillow.
Alfons' scent.
The small blonde breathed in as much as he could, and let the air slip out only after a long, long time, to breathe in again, and again, and again.
It wasn't his brother's scent. It was Alfons'.
"- Alfons..."
He tried to swallow but felt like something was stuck in his throat.
It was so unfair.

--

When Alfons opened the door, Edward jumped off the bed as if there was something awfully frightening hidden among the sheets, stumbled over a forgotten book laying on the floor and fell, his face against the ground.
The taller boy grinned and put two croissants in a plate, on the table.
"- Just like a bad movie gag. You got drunk yesterday night, didn't you?" Alfons said, without paying any attention to him.
When he heard that, Edward didn't feel like moving at all. Anything rather than facing Alfons' wrath. Especially in the morning. When ones were totally awkward and moody -like Ed- in the morning, ones were in a surprisingly lively mood, like Alfons.
"- …'doesn't mean anything. Anybody can fall. Even you. No need to be drunk for that.
- Ho, stunning. I was wondering what you were about to tell me, this time. Remember, my friend, that we share the same bed, and it seems -among other kicks and snores- that you slept your mouth wide open, and allow me to say that your breath smells worse than a manhole.
- How funny , Ed said in a groan.
- I wonder who's the funniest between us. Come over here, breakfast time.
- ….
- Hurry up, please. I have to go to the workshop. I hope you don't mind if I leave you alone?
- 'Gotta do some searching anyway. Al's surely doing the same where he is.
- …. Ed, you-"
Edward looked up to meet Alfons' gaze. Blue eyes looking more worried than mocking. He knew what he was about to say. And he was sick of that look.
"- I'm not insane, Alfons." "Or at least, not about that."
Alfons opened his mouth, but finally looked down to stare at his croissant.
The air was heavy and breath-taking, each of them looking down, not making a single move. But they were more and more used to this situation.
Suddenly, Alfons put the whole pastry into his mouth, chewed hard and swallowed with some difficulties and strange noises, that got Ed staring at him with a weird look on his face.
The taller blonde stood up.
"-Well, see you this afternoon, Edward." He gave the boy a wonderful smile, a typical Alfons' one, and walked to the door, waving quickly before disappearing in a "slam".
The golden blonde stared back at his breakfast.
"-And, DON'T GET DRUNK!" -the messy haired head disappeared as fast as it had appeared.

--

Edward Elric was watching silently the city through the window, his chin in his palm, sat on a chair he had put against the wall, his knees against his chest like an "N".
He was watching this city he hated so, so much, and also loved so, so desperately much.
Somewhere under those roofs, Alfons was working, for him each day closer to the stars, for Ed each day closer to his brother.
"Something to leave the proof of his existence". Edward sighed.
He looked up to meet the midday sky.
Somewhere beyond the clouds, Alphonse was looking for him, each day closer to his brother. The older brother was sure Al was working hard on it, he knew him after all, they promised. He promised.
He promised to be back. To meet again.
He felt this "thing" stuck in his throat again. He wasn't much the crying type, but recently that "thing" had come its way up to his throat way too often,

That was so unfair.

He knew his brother was somewhere, looking for him hopefully, whereas he was starting to lose any hope at all.
"What kind of big brother am I ?"
He looked back to the roofs and felt his heart beating louder. "Enough with that" , he frowned, seriously annoyed. As if he hadn't enough troubles right now, what was that with Alfons?
Edward stood up slowly and walked straight to the bed.
He laid on the mattress and held the pillow in his arms, burying his face into it, the sweet scent filling his lungs, heart and mind.

"I'm so messed up".
