My brother Matt got a DUI almost three years ago and finally went to court for it. He has had ten DUI's before. His lawyer keeps putting the court dates off for another day over and over until the judge ends up throwing the case out due to time constraints. My brother Matt had five of his ten DUI's thrown out that way. He was trying to do it again but the judge must have realized what was going on and didn't let Matt put off the court date this week. Since my brother Matt hasn't been doing the A/A meeting that the judge wanted Matt to do, the judge gave my brother 16 months in prison instead of the minuim six months. Morale of the story, when the judge tells you to do something... do it!
Otherwise things are going well for me. I am still studying for the Sgt. interviews and places to be a Sgt. There are a few prisons with openings but they are poorly run camps. Certain prisons get bad reps for how things are run and those places always have openings it seems. I like my current prison. Our warden/superintendent may hate change but he runs our camp pretty well. Unlike a lot of similer sized prisons, our camp is laid back. We have a lot less fights and other crap to deal with.
