Amazing writing
This was written as a rewrite of Psalm 29 (returnin the Torah on Shabbat, also in Kabbalat Shabbat). With the obvious exceptions of location, the translation is incredibly accurate. It put it in a whole new light - written by Dena.
Give props to God, arrogant assholes, props to God. Respect and Strength.
Props to God whose name demands respect. Kowtow to God in pristine holiness.
It is God's voice that moves the water. The God of Respect thunders. God's got a shitload of water.
God's voice is STRONG, God's voice is gorgeous.
God's voice smashes the trees, God smashed up the trees of Louisiana.
He dominated them like puppies, Louisiana and Mississippi, made them His bitch.
God's voice splits the utility poles.
God's voice makes the desolation tremble, he shook New Orleans- made it desolate.
God's voice stalls SUVs, God stripped the cities, and in His home everyone shouts Respect.
God sits above this flood as King, God reigns as king of the world.
