Michaela was here this weekend since her family was on a camping trip. Over the three days, we watched all of the anime "Pita-Ten" on youtube.com. Japanese, fansub. It was so cute! Especially in Japanese. You'd be surprised how much you can learn from subtitled shows. We also watched some Chobits and the first of Da Capo. You can learn a lot from Chobits since Chi is also learning. Da Capo was a little weird. Pita-Ten has an interesting opening song: "Even if I can't cook, I can buy my food at convenience stores. Even if my room is messy, I will put it off to a later time. Even if I can't do something, it doesn't really bother me. Even if I see a UFO, I don't really care. I won't do it! I won't! I won't! . . . " Yes it goes like that. Very fitting for the anime, yes.
So in between watching these animes, Misha and I walked down to the post office, but it was closed, so we dropped off our gifts for Lauren at her house. (I drew a picture of Lauren sitting on the tree in front of Michaela's house for her. I put our own scratchings in the tree too. Michaela helped me with that a little. I will put this on
gecko_art once I find it on the other computer.) Sooooo . . . yes then we went to Michaela's to get some stuff, left, went back because we forgot something, couldn't find it, left, walked back to my house in the rain (I love the rain!) We then had quartet (well, trio; it was me, Misha, and Shae. Plus Jen came also.) It was actually somewhat productive. We transferred "Chi passa per'sta strada" to alto clef for the violas. If we can just play this song with some improve and repeats, it would be good. Like how Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble played it. Like that.
Sunday in between animes we took Coda on a walk. We went up by the Hoover school, then decided to go through the little trail in the woods. We got out and after a while walking on the road I wasn't exactly sure how to get back to Melrose (because you end up in Malden . . . ) but I guessed right because once you get to that convenience store I know where we are! When we passed Cargill street there were these two cute little girls who were waving to Coda. So I tried to get Coda to wave back, and they laughed. I don't know how people get up that street in the winter. It is a very steep hill. More than Beech Ave. And people can't get up our hill in the winter.
So we did end up finding our way back home, and decided to give Coda a bath since I thought he walked through poison ivy and that would not be good to get on us. So we did, and he was pretty good. He only tried to escape once. Then when he got out he was going crazy running around the bathroom. But he must've finally got tired because later he was asleep.
Monday was the MSO dinner at Hilltop. It was good. My mom came with me and we sat at the table with the clarinetist, Mrs. Weeks, and one of the French horn players (what do you call someone who plays horn?) and her husband. We were talking about Russia. And, of course, of all the tables there, the cello table was the rowdiest. Yes. They are also like that in rehersal.
Eh. School is blah.
Three weeks left! Not even!
