Alright! Anyone who hasn't read Kushiel, at least the 1st book, at least to the part about the Longest Night: read it now! or before summer!
Because Mimichan and I decided we're having a Longest Day party this summer. Complete with awesome clothes, masks, and Joie (whenever we figure out what that should be - wiki says champagne tasting, other sources say a cross between ice wine and brandy, also vodka - I feel like it should be sweet but burn.)
Then again, being Longest Day and not Longest Night, maybe we should adapt the Joie to something more seasonal?
Another interesting question: what would the music be like?
I'm assuming renaissance-ish.
Like I said, I'm really obsessing, but this will be awesome. Plus Reina will appreciate the clothing.
Also completely unrelated, but I got to paint today! A little square canvas in blue pointy swirls - some student group was taking donations for Haiti and building a Haitian flag out of the canvases that people painted. I thought it was a creative idea so I painted one. As I was leaving they shouted that mine definitely wins so I'm assuming they liked my contribution. I wonder if the flag has been finished?
