Concert

MSO concert went well. It was very fun! I love MSO concerts. When we are playing, it is one of the best feelings. Then I am very hyper after. I'm always so happy after MSO concerts. It kind of makes you high almost.

It was funny; whenever Yoichi walks out on stage, he goes between the two violin sections and runs very quickly the first few steps. And he waves his arms very energetically to get us to stand up.

Our piano soloist was very good. During the last movement of that song (by the way, we played Rossini's Seramide Ouverture, Mozart's 20th piano concerto (that's what I am talking about now), and Sibelius' Symphony no. 2) Yoichi was jumping up and down while he was conducting. But if you know the song, you would know why. It's so happy you just have to jump up and down. It's a very playful movement. Mozart has quite a few playful songs. Like that audition piece we had to play . . . and that "Rondo" from the violin concerto we played last year in MSO . . .

Anyways~ ~ ~

Friday night MSO was very amusing.

Yoichi: about sforzando in the Mozart "It's a light sforzando. A diet sforzando! But not the cancer-causing kind."

Yoichi: "I have conductoritis tonight. This is my second mistake in nine years!"

So concert last night, then we had cake at Misha's, then her and Melissa slept over.

And now I am here.
