I have now been here a week. It's been interesting...and fulfilling. I'm in a temporary room right now till im fully moved in the basement flat. the window in this room is near the kitchen window of the next door place, nd interesting smells come from it alot. i've been to the asian market nearly every day and have enjoyed all kinds of food - muscat gummies, periwinkles, yam noodles, green tea cakes, tomato biscuits, and alot more goodies. i also found basil seed and grass jelly drinks, cheaper ramune, and more. i have some shopping this coming week, i have to start looking for work here, continue the moving things into the flat, finding the local gurdwara, dealing with being called for jury duty, etc. i have experienced the buses here. they are not too bad, but i'm not keen on them for the fact they don't stop and announce where you are. hunt and peck isn't cool when u don't know where the hell u r. i have a few friends already...i hung out with tim who is a fellow blogger, and i met a nice guy who came looking for a room at the flat. he has chosen not to take the room, but said he'd keep in touch. i hope he has good morals. i got myself lost in richmond hill. i am happy to report that as lost as i got (including getting myself to jfk airport by accident), i'm learning to get my way around, and am doing a bit better with maps. grey bard and i went to the met museum of art and grand central station.

i sold the car but didnt get what i was expecting so we'll see what i can do, and where life takes me. i also discovered target, and found i can get skinny jeans. yea, i admit, i want a couple pairs to go under kurtas n random kameezes.
i will have to figure out a net connection and i hope that i can find work before the money runs out, or cat face can get things to work out, otherwise, things don't look good for me. but that's another story.
