"I'm Gil Grissom, I'm with the Las Vegas Crime Lab, and I have a warrant to search the premises."

I'm wearing dramatic evening eye makeup right now because I was too lazy to wash it off all the way last night, and instead of doing the whole vaseline-and-a-Q-tip thing at five in the morning, I decided to just touch it up and go.

Now all I have to do is remember not to rub my eyes at all.

Last night was fun- I was "Grissom" and Kelsey was "Robbins" (Gillian and Alberta, respectively.) We borrowed scrubs and a lab coat for Kelsey from Debbie (acutal coroner's clothes- hee) and sprayed "blood" on dad's face shield. V. authentic looking.

I just wore jeans and a black tank top, with a dark blue windbreaker with "CSI" taped onto the back with masking tape. I had sunglasses too, and a "field kit" (dad's toolbox) with "DNA swabs" and "fingerprint powder" (Q-tips, face powder, and a blush brush.) I went to the library and printed out a Search Warrant- actually it was a transcript of the official warrant used for the Branch Davidian Compound in Waco, TX, with all the addresses changed to Onondaga County. It was 30 pages long originally, so I cut it down, and I think it was actually for me to search the premises for machine guns or something, but I got people's DNA samples anyway. We doctored up our school ID's too. Yay for cheap, thrown together costumes.

Running joke? I was looking for Sara. Hee.

We spend the night hanging out with Captain Jack Sparrow, a vampire, Speed Racer, a Catholic school girl, a bounty hunter, and Alicia, who changed into a beautiful goth dress at some point. Fun fun. Now I just have to twist Tom's arm to get him to send me the damn pictures.

Saturday was fun too, in a low-key way, thanks to my party getting cancelled. Actually I was kind of relieved, since I didn't feel like doing it. Guh. Andy came over, and we carved the pumpkins and listened to RENT.

I think next year I want to go as Squeegee Man. Honest living, yo.

costuming, halloween, csi
