when I was one and twenty
Ah man, such a great birthday. The Koreans blindsided me, completely. At first, I assumed they would throw me a party, then they acted like they just were going to hang out. Finally, when I went to see them, one of my friends nervously suggested I go for a walk. So we alked for a bit, came back and found myself in the midst of a suprise party. I am, of course, very grateful for what happened, it's my first party in about years and the first one I can recall really enjoying.
As for material things, I didn't get very much, however, the amount of effort they put into the presentation, as well as the affection I felt from (and for) them easily outweighed this. My birthday was everything I could have hoped it to be, and I am very grateful to my old friends, and my new ones for making it so wonderful.
And yes, for those of you who are interested, I went ahead and got drunk.
