This year's knitting goal

I like to set myself a knitting challenge each year, last year's was to knit Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitter's Almanac, which project kind of fell apart midway through the year (health crises and depressive episodes will do that to you, but I did wind up with some nice mittens and hats and things

Man, I really should unravel the Monstrosity that was going to be a poncho worked up with two strands of Lionbrand Homespun (a yarn that I have quite firmly Gotten Over :P). That thing is stuffed in a bag and hiding in the craftroom >.>

That is a good idea, cats really like Homespun.

Hmm, I might could! I should have dug it out when you were here to show you but din't think of it...

Also, I was able to pull out the fingerless gloves that I wasn't knitting in hopes to have Kay's loverly ones show up (which still haven't, much to my chagrin :/) because I discovered the pattern called for seaming the thumb and I wasn't having any of that ;D

Well, I like most of them, the last-mentioned mitten is the only one that really depresses me.

I'm kind of over the fair isle sweater but if I frog it I'll just have lots of little pieces of yarn. And I bought the yarn and pattern in Portland so it kind of has sentimental value.

I think I'll stick it out, I think I just have to knit the back, if I remember correctly (it's been that long since I last worked on it).
