poorly lit photos of knit items

I have been continuing to knit away at my EZ knitting (sweater blanket shawl) and despite knitting and knitting and knitting away, have made what seems to be remarkably little progress. So I thought I'd do some quicker projects so I'd actually finish something and reduce my feelings of despair.
So here are some poorly lit finished items! (the lighting in the guest room just sucks but it's the only place I have room to block things).

(Do you like that quilt? My mom made it!)
Starting on the left is a nice squishy shawl (the Pembroke Wrap from the most recent Interweave Knits except I added more pattern repetitions to it, both because the yarn I was using was thinner than the one called for in the pattern, and also to help use up the yarn). To the right of it is a little shrug that only took an evening to make. I have decided not to sew buttons on it because closed it is a little too much like "Hello, here's my boobs". Open it is a cute thing to wear over a sleeveless shirt or to throw on when the AC in my office gets too cold. It has afforded my husband a lot of mirth, for weeks after I finished it whenever he saw me knitting he would giggle and say "are you making another tiny sweater?". Finally, the purple socks are in fact part of my knitalong as they are worsted weight versions of EZ's Moccasin Socks. They are very good slipper socks but I do not think I would make fingering-weight socks intended to be worn in shoes using the pattern because they bunch under the toe and it would irritate me (physically and mentally) rapidly. But they are warm and cozy and I will appreciate having them this winter!

Also, I have finally finished the first stage on a labor-intensive project. I hope that somebody will appreciate it.
