This year's project
This year I will be working through Elizabeth Zimmermann's Knitter's Almanac (you can also buy it from http://www.schoolhousepress.com/gen_books.htm but they don't generate a neat link right to the book like Amazon does). I won't make all the projects -- I don't plan to make the Mystery Blanket or the Nether Garments -- and I may modify some of them (I'm planning to make another February Lady Sweater, for instance), but I think I will learn a lot and I hope it will enhance my ability to actually stick to a project, as I usually have a number in the works and it takes me forever to finish anything because I set it down and work on something else for a while and then something else catches my attention and well you know how it goes.
I have made most of a swatch cap, and have knit about an inch on my sweater! I'm actually planning on (eek!) steeking it! And I won't do drop shoulders, I'm thinking about saddle shoulders. Maybe. I have quite a bit to knit before I have to decide.
