I'm not sure exactly how much the food has to do with the ideology. For Louisa May Alcott's dad, they were all about eating things that were touched by the sun and light and shit. So they didn't eat root vegetables, so they almost died in the winter. I think for us, we're probably a mixed bag of ideologies. But we really like beans and we really like the word "bean." Or I do. I was just grinding coffee this morning and realized all my favorite foods come from beans.
But. We could probably drum up an explanation for how beans are transnational feminist anticapitalist marxist queer food-pods.
