1. I'm applying to 9 schools. It's pretty much official. I already started all the applications and sent lists to my recommenders. Zoiks.
2. Radio. How come radio host dj people are still so blatantly sexist and awful? It seems like they should not be. I was just wondering 'cause they always say such dumb stuff and a lot of the time, hearing it is sort of unavoidable. Like, I can't help it if the gas station attendants put that shit over the what-do-you-call-it. So, if I'm in a gas station, and the radio guys are talking about "all women are annoying, duh, but especially fat women ugh, those fat, annoying women ahahahaha, those are the worst, right, Frank? You got that right, Psycho Bob!" (Literally, I heard something probably worse than that in a gas station.) What that does, that idiotic broadcast, what it does is transform the whole gas station into an unsafe space. An uglier space than it already was, you know? So I just wonder about radio and how fucking awful it is. Also, Delilah can eat it.
3. I was on the bus the other night and I was both hungry and tired--which is kinda relevant because it makes me unable to deal with things. I was on the bus and we stopped and this disgruntled white lady tried to swipe her transfer but it had expired 15 minutes prior. So the driver said she couldn't ride until she paid. And she said the bus was late so it wasn't her fault and she sat down. And the driver didn't drive. And the lady didn't pay and she didn't get off the bus. Me, I was rooting for the lady. The bus system sucks. So we waited for forever, the 10 passengers and the driver. Eventually, this dude started yelling at the lady to just pay so we could go. And she said, yeah, she was being stubborn, but so was the driver. And we waited longer. The lady paid at some point, but that's because the driver called the motherfucking cops and she was scared. The cop came all smiley at the cute bus predicament and took the lady away. Then the bus driver continued to do his actual job safe in the knowledge that justice had been served and no poor woman was going to cheat the bus company of $1.50. Probably there is an allegory in here somewhere.
I was pretty pissed. I nearly Keanu Reevesed that bus. So nearly.
